Blush is a powerful and highly addictive drug that improves a user’s mood, focus, reaction time, and cognitive abilities. It is manufactured from processed arayo leaves and is usually consumed by snorting it as a pink powder.
usage
Blush is frequently used recreationally, instrumentally as a work aid, or by militaries as a combat stimulant. It is also manufactured in a gas form, known as blush gas, which is primarily used by combat troops. Soldiers may even utilize special respirators hooked directly to blush gas canisters, allowing them to release the drug into their system whenever needed in the heat of battle.
production
Most blush on Euphrosyne is produced in the fertile ashlands of the Blocks and heavily exported by the Kalon Syndicate.
legality and trade
Blush is not illegal across Euphrosyne. There is not a single major faction that has successfully banned its trade. While the NEP has officially banned it, they still export and trade it heavily.
The drug trade is quite free and socially acceptable across the planet. Due to this openness, smugglers rarely need to sneak drugs across borders; instead, smugglers usually deal in much more restricted items like neurons, dangerous technology, weapons, or explosives.
side effects
It is not particularly harmful to the user besides addiction; however, in some cases, it may cause nosebleeds, headaches, insomnia, reddening of the eyes, anxiety, an elevated heart rate, or vomiting.
Long-term use usually increases the risk of heart disease and may lead to lethargy, anxiety, and/or depression when not actively using the drug. An overdose may lead to instant heart failure.
dosage timeline
Most users experience only the positive effects and maybe one or two negative side effects. The positive effects start about 10-20 minutes after ingesting the drug and last for about 2-4 hours, depending on the dose and the user. One gram is considered a normal dose.
After the positive effects end, the user usually feels a level of tiredness and sleepiness for a couple of hours and may be highly inclined to take another dose to offset the crash.
