The Rustland Trade Union (commonly referred to as RTU) is a loose merchant union on Euphrosyne, primarily associated with the Nomads culture.
It essentially functions as a bureaucratic entity to regulate and protect trade across the planet for the merchant groups that have voluntarily joined it.
membership benefits
The merchants who join the RTU must pay a small income tax to support the union’s infrastructure. In exchange, they receive several significant benefits:
- Exclusive Access: RTU members gain entry to many exclusive locations and settlements that are only willing to let certified RTU traders in.
- Protection: The union provides merchants with easy connections and contracts with mercenary companies to protect their caravans and trade routes.
