The mosquito is a small, 5-centimeter-long, unintelligent flying insect-like spawn utilized by the Tsiktral hive.

Its primary functions are to scout and spy on the hive’s enemies, as well as to spread the hive’s mind-controlling host disease using its needle. Mosquitoes love to feed on the bodies of the hive’s infected human and animal hosts, and will often use their bodies as a nest and home.
