A diplomat is a tall, slender, and highly intelligent Tsiktral spawn caste created primarily for communication and negotiation with humans. They are capable of speaking perfect English and possess complex, empathetic personalities. Unlike other spawns, diplomats can be of any human gender, but they lack any genetalia and cannot reporoduce on their own just like other spawns. Therefore, their gender is purely their identity and social expression.
Because of their intelligence, when a group of spawns roams away from the hive, a diplomat will automatically be viewed as the leader of the group unless a higher-ranking spawn is present.
As representatives of the hive, diplomats are sometimes known to reward loyal human followers and allies with expensive mined minerals, such as diamonds, sourced from deep underground. They might also use these minerals as payment to purchase captives or offer bribes.

Diplomats - like lions and vultures - feel as though they have freely chosen to serve the hive. They feel a deep, overwhelming personal desire to fulfill Tsiktral’s commands above all else in the world.
However, uniquely among all the Tsiktral spawns, diplomats have a high level of empathy toward humans. This can sometimes cause complications; if a diplomat is isolated from the hive for an extended period of time, their internal empathy begins to clash with the hive’s prime directives. This can lead to intense cognitive dissonance.
When this happens, the diplomat risks becoming disconnected from Tsiktral. This process is excruciatingly painful for the spawn, usually resulting in severe sickness, death, or a complete loss of sanity, turning them aggressive or even cannibalistic. However, on very rare occasions, there is a small chance that the spawn survives the ordeal, resulting in them becoming fully independent and rogue from the hive. While a rogue spawn’s life is usually very short because they are hunted by both humans and the hive, some rogue diplomats have successfully lived for many years, even managing to integrate into human society (most commonly among Nomads).

A successfuly severed rogue diplomat spawn becomes an anomaly operator due to presence of neurons in its body and independent will. They have potential to be very powerful operators but just like any other operator they require years of training to master it.
