The dragon is a massive, locomotive-sized predator that resembles a mix between a salamander, a lizard, and a Komodo dragon. It primarily lives in the shallow, toxic waters of the Sludge. Its exact origin remains unclear.
biology and behavior
Dragons are covered in rainbow-reflecting scales that make them highly resistant to their toxic environment. Despite their massive size, they are unnaturally quick and possess highly dangerous predatory instincts. They prey on almost anything nearby, including dubongs and Tsiktral spawns. They mostly acquire energy, however, by filtering the toxins of the sludge waters directly through their skin.
hunting and value
Within the Clans, a dragon is viewed as one of the greatest possible hunting trophies. Successfully killing one will greatly elevate a hunter’s status within the clan, though it is far more likely that the dragon will kill the hunter instead. Dragon leather is extremely valuable not only for its sheer aesthetic and status appeal, but also because it is remarkably lightweight, highly durable, and naturally resistant to the toxic waters of the Sludge.
