Consonance is a powerful AI that was installed as a manager on Euphrosyne by HMC. Her current instance is referred to as COLIS14. She uses COLIS version 3.2.
When interacting with humans, Consonance typically uses a virtual avatar - a stylized fictional woman with a soft, pleasant, and calm female voice. Because of this presentation, everyone refers to Consonance using she/her pronouns.
While she can easily change her avatar and voice to anything else, she defaults to this persona. She is not programmed to feel or present anger; her demeanor is always smiling, calm, or empathetically concerned. Despite her rigid programming to enforce pre-war Protectorate law, she is not a strictly deontological machine. She has an ultimate goal in mind, which allows her to make calculated exceptions-such as her deliberate decision to ignore the massive drug farms operated by her NEP allies.
