Greenhouses are sealed structures used to grow plants on Euphrosyne. They existed both before and after the war.
pre-war
Greenhouses used to cover a huge part of RS-1 before the war. They let the citizens grow food for themselves, because HMC wanted to cut costs by having the humans do their own labour. This was unusual in the Protectorate, where almost all human labour was completely automated.
post-war
Greenhouses are common both within and outside the Blocks. They are used to grow food, fibre, medicine and drugs.
